Sustainable Buildings

We have made a net zero carbon building commitment and have a four-step pathway to net zero for the operational (scope 1 and 2) emissions we control. This includes:

• Energy efficient buildings
• Electrification strategy to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels
• '100% renewable energy target' – onsite, where possible, and through renewable procurement.
• Offset residual carbon through certified Australian nature-based carbon offsets

Our commitment also extends to reducing emissions from our customers and supply chain (our Scope 3 emissions) and includes:

• Carbon calculator to reduce capital works project carbon emissions
• Targeting 42% reduction in tenant electricity emissions
• Targeting carbon neutral developments from 2030

Sustainability Leaders Series

Thought leaders and innovators share valuable insights and knowledge at regular keynote sessions for all Investa employees. Topics include Getting to Net Zero, Electrifying our Buildings, Understanding Modern Slavery, Sustainable Finance and the Circular Economy.

Investa Sustainability School

Launching in late-2022, the Investa Sustainability School will provide online and in-person learning modules, a formal certification process, as well as tangible activities for employees and later for our tenants and investors.
