Making reusable cups and bowls easy in the workplace

In partnership with ReturnR, we launched Sustain-a-bowl Pantry for our employees in our Melbourne and Sydney offices to celebrate Plastic Free July in 2025. The reusable container program aimed to reduce single-use packaging and improve waste stream quality.

After just one month, the program:

• Diverted over 1,000 takeaway containers and cups from landfill;

• Reduced landfill waste by 7.6kg in July 2025 (when compared to July 2024);

• Reduced mixed recycling waste stream contamination by 55% in July 2025 (compared to the average from April to June 2025); and

• Reduced organic waste stream contamination by 27% in July 2025 (compared to the average from April to June 2025).

This simple, accessible solution makes it easier for our employees to do the right thing. Cleaner waste streams show that our people are making more thoughtful choices, putting the right waste items into the right bins.
