Investa continues renewable electricity with Origin agreement

Investa has entered a six-year agreement with Origin Energy Electricity Limited (Origin) for its managed base buildings, as part of our commitment to net zero emissions across our operations. Under the agreement, Investa managed buildings in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory will procure renewable energy certificates to supply 100% of projected electricity demands over six years from 2025 to 2031.

The agreement is underpinned by the Power Purchase Agreement between Origin and Stockyard Hill Wind Farm in Victoria, which will be the primary source of the certificates.

Investa’s commercial office towers have limited available roof top area for on-site renewable electricity generation with solar panels. The agreement with Origin assists Investa in achieving long-term decarbonisation ambitions. This supports Investa’s achievement of net zero in scope 1 and 2 emissions, which was first achieved 2024, one year ahead of our 2025 net zero target.
