Investa’s nature positive pathway seeks to transform nature both in our buildings and in our wider environment.
In 2025, 420 George Street, Sydney became the first Investa building to welcome 120,000 new tenants through our partnership with Rooftop Bees, with the installation of two rooftop beehives. Queen George‑ina and Queen Gertrude, along with their worker bees, are transforming an underutilised rooftop into a thriving habitat that enhances local biodiversity. This initiative has since expanded to 201 Kent Street and Barrack Place in Sydney, as well as 120 Collins Street in Melbourne.
The bees in Investa’s rooftop hives are expected to pollinate an area of over 78.5km2, equivalent to over 10,900 standard soccer fields. They forage within a 5km radius, reaching green spaces across the Sydney and Melbourne CBD including the Royal Botanic Gardens. Our partnership with Rooftop Bees also connects our occupants closer to nature, through a range of activations from honey tastings, hive tours, educational sessions and wellness activities.
