Investa has been awarded the number one spot
in the AFR Boss Best Places to Work
list this week, in the Property, Construction and Transport category.
The prestigious list recognises organisations across Australia and New Zealand that are pioneering new ways of working and pushing the boundaries when it comes to workplace policies and practices.
“It is truly an honour to have been recognised in the number one spot by the AFR Boss Best Places to Work list,” said Amy Wild, Group Executive People & Culture. “This is a wonderful acknowledgement of Investa’s commitment to creating a workplace culture and environment that inspires and ignites the passion of our employees each day when they come to work.
“Investa’s progressive parental leave policy and Family & Domestic Violence policy are market leading. Our flexible work policy offers more than 21 different ways our people can work flexibly, and we have a very broad range of training and formal education options staff can take advantage of, including our internal Innovation Institute, all of which are open to all employees.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved in this space in a relatively short period of time,” she said.
CEO Jonathan Callaghan said it was particularly significant to receive this recognition following a challenging year in 2020.
“Investa prides itself on being an open, honest and authentic employer and I think ranking at number one is really testament to us staying true to those values,” he said. “2020 brought about changes and challenges at a pace and scale that we couldn’t have even begun to imagine previously. The resilience, agility and collaborative nature of our business is what enabled us to weather that storm and come out stronger on the other side.
“Investa’s connected culture is cited time and time again as being at the heart of our success. That would not be possible without the contribution of every employee at all levels of the business. “I really do thank and acknowledge Amy and her team for all of their hard work and leadership in keeping us at the forefront in new initiatives and now being formally recognised as one of Australia’s ‘Best Places to Work.’”
Announced yesterday via a virtual ceremony, the AFR Boss Best Places to Work lists are underpinned by rigorous, scientifically proven methodology, provided by leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium.
Amongst the achievements Investa recorded in the past 12 months were promotions, transfers or secondments for 25% of its workforce, an impressive Employee Net Promoter Score of 96% and a 12 per cent improvement in engagement scores relating to quality of manager feedback and development conversations in a 12-month period.
This is one of a number of recognitions for Investa in recent times. Investa was awarded the title of Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards, and was also announced as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) in 2020.
