Game changing amenity drawing employees back

The Cove

Drawing employees back to the office became a whole lot easier with the launch of ‘The Cove’, a new wellbeing, sports and leisure space offered as part of 201 Kent Street, Sydney.

The Cove integrates an innovative recreation and leisure zone that includes a quarter length basketball court, golf simulator, peloton bikes and a sports lounge, adjacent to two wellbeing studios and luxury shower and change room facilities.

Robyn Ferguson, General Manager 201 Kent Street said: “Having a space like The Cove is truly a gamechanger. This project is a unique offering in the Sydney CBD and supports our occupiers in their efforts to attract employees back to the office.

“We seized the opportunity to reposition our offering, and feedback from occupiers and tenant representatives has been overwhelmingly positive. Following the announcement of these new facilities the asset closed out 17 leasing transactions across 13,000sqm of office space, proving there is a strong appetite for superior amenity in the office sector.”

Ben Rousek, Asset Manager, Investa commented: “ICPF has executed a core component of the asset reposition via construction of this leading amenity, delivering enhanced facilities to occupiers and long-term value creation to its shareholders. This project has helped to combat the cyclical correction in office values, noting that valuations for prime grade CBD office assets are expected to stabilise shortly.

“We have demonstrated that continued capital investment in our assets attracts and retains occupiers, and underpins leasing success delivering high occupancy.”

“Our tenants now have a unique option for collaboration and connection, as they can book, free of charge, the area for social activities or team meetings, providing a novel third space beyond the traditional office environment,” Robyn said.
