Investa Property Group is proud to be among the biggest names in Ethical Investing as mentioned in Huffington Post Australia, and ranking as Australia’s second largest asset manager of core responsible investment by the Responsible Investment Association of Australia’s (RIAA’s) 2016 Responsible Investment Benchmark Report. Since being the first Australian real estate fund certified for Sustainable Responsible Investment under RIAA’s accreditation scheme, Investa's flagship wholesale fund, Investa Commercial Property Fund has continued to showcase leadership across a gamut of Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) areas.

Since 2004, Investa has achieved a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity, a figure measuring tonnes of CO2 released per square metre of net lettable areas annually. Through this significant reduction in our carbon footprint we are minimising our environmental impact whilst continuing to provide strong financial returns for investors.

Investa continues to support the Australian Business Roundtable for Disaster Resilience and Safer Communities, advocating for government funding and further research into disaster resilience across the nation. As the representative of the property industry, Investa has made vital contributions to four White Papers, the latest which focus on the total social costs of natural disasters. The papers are available here.

Finally, Investa continues to demonstrate leadership in areas of gender equality through the UN’s Women’s Empowerment Principles and active participation in the Property Council of Australia’s Male Champions of Change program. The recent appointments of Rebecca McGrath and Jennifer Lambert to the new Investa Property Group’s independent board further progresses our goal of achieving gender diversity across our business and underlines our commitment to socially responsible governance.
