Investa Property Group has appointed Rebecca McGrath as the chair of a new independent board to oversee the business strategy, governance, operations, risk and compliance of the Investa management platform.

The Group has also appointed Jennifer Lambert and Sydney Bone as new independent directors of Investa Office Management Pty Ltd (the ‘Investa Platform Board’).

The independent directors will be joined on the Investa Platform Board by:

Bob Seidler, a Non-Executive Director of Investa Listed Funds Management (ILFML), the responsible entity of listed Investa Office Fund (IOF);

Dennis Wildenburg, a Non-Executive Director of Investa Wholesale Funds Management (IWFML), the responsible entity of unlisted, Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF);

Jonathan Callaghan, the Chief Executive Officer, Investa; and Peter Menegazzo, the Chief Investment Officer, Investa.

The formation of the Board follows ICPF’s purchase earlier this year of the Investa management platform from Morgan Stanley.

Mr Callaghan said the appointment of such high calibre independent directors would underpin the strong culture of outstanding performance of the Group, and its track record of identifying new growth opportunities.

“The new board and the management team are committed to continue delivering the leading quality, end-to-end services to our tenants and investors for which Investa is renowned. The board representation from our two key clients, IWFML and ILFML will ensure all interests are represented as we roll out our business strategy,” Mr Callaghan said.
