Breezes Muirhead is hosting a free Family Fun Day on Saturday 10 May, providing the perfect opportunity for families to visit the award-winning new neighbourhood and help to raise funds for Royal Darwin Hospital.

Channel 10 News Reporter, Alice Burton will host the event which will celebrate the opening of three new display homes, increasing the number of homes in the Breezes Muirhead Builder Display Village to nine.

From 10am to 2pm children will be kept busy with free entertainment while parents can inspect the display homes and talk to experts about building a home in the Top End.

Activities for children will include an inflatable water slide, rock climbing wall, jumping castle, circus workshop and Wild Things native animal display. Fairy Jill will paint faces and Hyper the Clown will entertain everyone with her magic shows and balloon modelling.

Defence Housing Australia (‘DHA’) and Investa Land, developers of Breezes Muirhead are sponsoring the Family Fun Day. Proceeds from Rotary Darwin North’s barbeque and raffle will be donated to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Live music and dance performances will continue throughout the day. Performers will include Keltikka Irish Dancers and Winesia Dance Group, as well as talented musicians from several local schools including O'Loughlin Catholic College and St Andrew’s Lutheran Primary School.

“There’s no better way for families to experience the relaxed lifestyle and strong sense of community at Breezes Muirhead than by coming along to our Family Fun Day,” said Mr Peter Howman, Managing Director, DHA.

“We encourage everyone to enjoy the entertainment or relax with a picnic in one of the several leafy community parks where children can explore the adventure playgrounds,” Mr Howman said.

Representatives from Breezes Muirhead’s team of builders, About Homes, Kassiou Constructions, Killarney Homes, Matrix, S&M Construction, Saroukos Homes and The House Factory will be at the Family Fun Day to discuss the benefits of their sustainable home designs with visitors.

Breezes Muirhead is located 16 kilometres north of Darwin’s CBD. It is conveniently situated close to 19 primary and high schools, Royal Darwin Hospital and Casuarina Square Shopping Centre. Casuarina Coastal Reserve and Buffalo Creek boat ramp are within easy reach.

The Breezes Muirhead Land Sales and Information Centre and Builder Display Village are located at 22 Coleman Street (off Lee Point Road) Muirhead and open daily from 10am to 5pm.
