Construction of the first homes is underway at Somerview Park, the new residential community positioned along the eastern edge of the sought-after Somerset Park community at Thornton.

Investa Property Group is developing Somerview Park which will feature 243 lots of prime building land on a 120 hectare elevated site. The current land release provides lots with district views across the semi rural landscape.

Homes will be built on one side only of a perimeter road along the estate’s eastern boundary, resulting in these elevated lots having expansive views, overlooking reserve and wetlands.

“There has been strong demand for Somerview Park from families wanting to build their dream home on a spacious yet affordable lot, in a prestigious location that is well serviced by amenities and recreational facilities,” said Grahame Yard, Development Manager Investa Property Group.

Construction of several roads and homes is progressing well, with the community taking shape. Extensive landscaping was undertaken early in the planning process to ensure that leafy streetscapes present an established outlook as soon as possible.

The community offers neighbourhood shops, Thornton Primary School, Francis Greenway High School and several pre-schools, with a University, TAFE and evening colleges nearby. Its proximity to pristine beaches and the Hunter Valley provides many recreation and leisure activities.

Somerview Park is located 15 minutes from Maitland CBD and 35 minutes from Newcastle. The F3, New England Highway and Thornton train station are within easy reach.

Seven lots remain for sale in Stage One, several of which offer expansive district views from their elevated position. These lots range in size from 570m2 – 817m2 and are priced from $199,000 - $225,000. Stage Two will be released in coming months.
