Indi Build to Rent reaches new milestone

Oxford Properties Group (“Oxford”) and Investa are proud to announce another milestone for Indi Build to Rent (BTR) this week – the ‘topping out’ of Indi Southbank, in Melbourne.  

This milestone at Indi Southbank – part of the Boyd Village precinct under development by PDG – signifies the successful completion of the building’s major structural phase after two years of construction. 

Scheduled for completion in mid-2025 with residents moving in shortly after, Indi Southbank will feature 434 apartments (including at least 40 affordable homes), along with public amenities to benefit the local community. Residents will enjoy rental flexibility, premium amenities, and a variety of communal spaces, such as private dining and entertainment rooms, a heated swimming pool and sauna, co-working spaces, media rooms and a cocktail lounge on Level 42 that offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. 

The topping out of Indi Southbank follows several recent milestones for Investa’s Indi BTR platform. Indi Footscray in Melbourne ‘topped out’ in late 2024, while Indi Sydney, the flagship premium, purpose-built BTR residence in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, opened its doors in December 2024 with its first residents 
already occupying the building. Indi Sydney has demonstrated strong early leasing success, demonstrating 
the demand for high-quality rental options in prime locations. 

Indi Footscray in Melbourne comprises 702 apartments and is the largest in the Indi portfolio. The project is conveniently located adjacent to Footscray train station, providing direct access to Melbourne’s CBD within 12 minutes. Additionally, it boasts impressive views of the Melbourne city skyline and is nearby to Victoria University and Footscray Hospital.
