Executive Team

Jonathan Callaghan is Chief Executive Officer of Investa and an Executive Director of Investa Wholesale Funds Management Ltd and Investa Office Management Holdings Pty Ltd.

Jonathan is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the Investa group, across the office and funds businesses with responsibility for financial strategy, treasury, debt and risk management, taxation and internal and external reporting. 

Jonathan has been with Investa for more than 11 years, where he has held a number of roles, including Group General Counsel and more recently, Joint Managing Director and Finance Director. Jonathan is a member of the NSW Division Council of the Property Council of Australia and a founding member of the Property Male Champions of Change.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons), a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Masters of Applied Finance. 

Peter is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Investa and an Executive Director of Investa Office Management Pty Ltd. Peter is responsible for identifying and implementing strategic group initiatives, managing capital relationships, overseeing capital transactions, research and commercial developments and providing investment support for all of the clients of the platform, with the objective of optimising investment performance.

Peter has been with Investa for over 12 years and prior to being appointed CIO, was Fund Manager of Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF), where he was responsible for the daily management and strategic direction of the fund. During this time, ICPF delivered strong investment performance and executed a strategy that enhanced portfolio quality and increased scale, resulting in the fund becoming the pre-eminent unlisted prime office fund in Australia.

Peter has broad property, funds management and finance experience gained during his 15 years in the industry and prior to joining Investa held senior roles with AMP Capital Investors and BDO Corporate Finance.

Michael Cook is a Group Executive at Investa and is actively involved in commercial development, capital transactions and leasing across the group. 

Prior to joining Investa in 2003, Michael was based in Hong Kong working on the $5 Billion International Finance Centre project. Prior to that, Michael worked at AMP as the Manager of Commercial Asset Management, principally concerned with co-owned assets such as 600 Bourke Street and Darling Park.

Michael was previously Senior Asset Manager at BT Funds Management, where he was responsible for the development and asset management of hotels, shopping centres, industrial buildings and office buildings. Michael was involved in the initial hostile takeover of the Grosvenor Trust in 1994 (BT Office Trust/Principal Office Trust) and the subsequent takeover of the Principal Office Trust in 2003.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Science), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Urban Estate Management.

Jason Leong is the Fund Manager of Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF), responsible for the daily management and strategic direction of the fund, with a focus on maximising performance and creating value for investors.

Jason has been with Investa for over 8 years, previously as Acting Fund Manager for Investa’s listed fund, Investa Office Fund (IOF) and prior to this, Chief Operating Officer of the management platform.

Jason has over 20 years’ experience in the real estate sector with previous roles including National Director Asset Management with LaSalle Investment Management (based in Singapore) and Vice President Asset Management with New City Corporation (based in Tokyo). 

Jason holds a Bachelor of Property Economics from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Penny is a Group Executive at Investa Property Group, one of Australia’s most recognised fully integrated commercial real estate companies, committed to helping Australian workplaces to thrive.

Penny leads the Group’s Investment Management business with over $13 billion of asset under management, including the Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF), Oxford Investa Property Partnership and a number of institutional mandates. Penny’s responsibilities also include Investa’s Corporate Sustainability and Research functions.

Prior to her current role, Penny was Fund Manager of the Investa Office Fund (IOF), an ASX-listed real estate investment trust with $4.5 billion of assets under management prior to being privatised at the end of 2018.

Penny has over 25 years of Australian and international property industry experience, with a strong track record in driving performance through challenging market cycles.

Prior to joining Investa, Penny was Fund Manager of the diversified Dexus Wholesale Property Fund (DWPF), Head of Capital at Dexus and the Head of Equity at Lendlease in the UK and Europe.

Penny Chairs the NSW Property Council’s Diversity Committee, is on the NSW Board of Advisers for the Property Industry Foundation (PIF), and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Chief Executive Women (CEW).

Ivan Gorridge is responsible for all finance functions including financial and management reporting, funding analysis and compliance obligations for the Investa Office division. Ivan joined Investa in 2004 and has over 15 years experience in finance, obtained from a variety of industries and in different countries.

Prior to joining Investa, Ivan worked for Thales GeoSolutions, a Hydro-graphic Survey company in the Oil and Gas Industry. During his time at Thales, Ivan worked in a number of offices including Perth, the UK and the USA where he was Financial Controller for the Northern American companies. Prior to this, Ivan worked for Sime Darby Australia where he gained accounting and commercial experience in a variety of different businesses.

Sally is Group Executive, Real Estate Services & Business Operations for Investa and is responsible for the Asset, Property and Facilities Management, Capital projects, Sustainability, Environment and Safety functions across the platform.

Sally has over 16 years of experience in the commercial property industry and prior to joining Investa in 2007, she was Fund Manager for the MacarthurCook Office Property Trust. Prior to this, Sally held the positions of National Strategy and Planning Manager at Telstra, Property Consultant at UrbisJHD and was a valuer at CB Richard Ellis.

Sally has a Bachelor of Business Degree (Property) from RMIT, an Estate Agents Licence (Victoria and Queensland) and is a qualified AAPI valuer.
 
Sally is also a member of Chief Executive Women, a member-based organisation representing Australia’s most senior women leaders from the corporate, public service, academic and not-for-profit sectors.

As Group Executive and Head of Commercial Developments, Mark is responsible for identifying and executing new development opportunities for both internal and external clients and has a current development book in excess of $1.2 billion. 

Mark has over 18 years’ experience in the construction and property industry and was a board member of BuildingSMART Australasia in 2013 and 2014, and a co-author of the National Building Information Modelling Initiative (NBI) Report.

Prior to joining Investa in 2009, Mark worked at Citta Property Group as the Development and Construction Manager for 6 years on a range of projects, including the 2006 Commonwealth Games Village in Melbourne and at Lend Lease in the construction delivery team for 8 years on projects including Fox Studios, Sydney, Herald Weekly Times, Melbourne and Jacksons Landing, Sydney.

Mark holds both a Masters of Property Development and a Civil Engineering Honours Degree from UTS

Emily Lee-Waldao oversees marketing, communication and innovation strategy, planning and execution for Investa. She is responsible for internal and external communications, brand, customer engagement, asset marketing, media liasion and fostering a culture of innovation and technology-enabled change to transform new ideas and opportunities into strong commercial outcomes.

Emily has over 20 years' experience in the property industry and prior to joining Investa was Head of Sales and Marketing for Ashington. Emily has also held senior marketing and sales management roles with Walker Corporation and Jones Lang LaSalle. 

Emily holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), a Diploma of Real Estate and a Diploma of Investor Relations.

Shaun Condon is responsible for the development and implementation of Investa's safety and environment strategy, reporting and performance improvement programs.

Shaun is focused on delivering enhanced operational performance of Investa properties nationally, working closely with personnel at all levels to develop and implement programs that lower Investa’s environmental impact.

Prior to joining Investa, Shaun was the Senior Project Manager at Big Switch Projects which focused on delivering sustainable property consulting and construction management services.

Shaun holds a Bachelor of Building in Construction Management.

Neal Noble is responsible for IT strategy, infrastructure and operations, applications delivery and support of Investa's business and people. 

Prior to joining Investa in 2009, Neal was the Global Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations for Recall Corporation, and before that IT Director for Recall Asia Pacific.

Neal has also held senior IT management and consulting roles with Stockland, BT Financial Group and Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC). Neal has over 18 years of local, regional and global IT experience.

Neal holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graducate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and is a Chartered Accountant.

Amy Wild is the Group Executive, People & Culture at Investa. She is responsible for leading the human resources function to deliver a strategy, policies and processes that attract, retain, motivate and develop Investa’s talented workforce and maintain its unique culture. 
 
Prior to joining Investa in 2016, Amy held a series of senior human resources roles with the GPT Group across a range of specialist human resources functions, including remuneration, organisation development and change management. Amy has over 15 years’ experience in her field and holds a Master of Business Administration, Masters of Organisational Psychology and Bachelor of Psychology (Hons).

 

Andrew Murray is Group General Counsel and Company Secretary responsible for the legal, compliance and company secretarial activities at Investa.

Andrew has over 15 years’ legal experience with an extensive background in real estate, funds management and corporate transactions. Prior to this role, he was Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Avid Property Group and has also worked in legal private practice for Allens.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws.
 

David Cannington is the Head of Research & Strategy at Investa. 

David is a specialist property economist with nationally renowned expertise in quantitative and analytical economics. Having a breadth of applied and leadership experience developed over 18 years in the finance and public sector, he is known to provide strategic advantage through thought leadership in forecasting and property market insight. Prior to joining Investa, David was the lead Property Economist at ANZ Bank.

David holds a Masters of Commerce, specialising in Economics from University of Melbourne.

Katrina is Investa's National Head of Asset Services for Investa Office and commenced with us in early December 2016. Katrina is responsible for the teams who deliver asset and property management services nationally.
 
Katrina has over 20 years of property management, facilities management and Corporate Real Estate experience in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Prior to joining Investa, Katrina held the position of Senior Director, Asset Management Services NSW at Knight Frank.

Paul Vandervlis is the General Manager Facilities Services for Investa responsible for the management of the facilities team, systems and processes. The Facilities Services team delivers value to our tenants and clients through operational management, legislative compliance, procurement, due diligence and technical advice.
 
Paul has joined Investa in 2016 and comes with over 13 years’ experience in Facilities
Management, having held roles at a site, state and national level for Jones Lang LaSalle
and Knight Frank. Paul has previously held the role of National Sustainability Manager for Jones
Lang LaSalle (Colonial First State Account Office Fund) and Director, Head of
Facilities Management for Knight Frank NSW.
 

Nina James is the General Manager, Corporate Sustainability for Investa and in her role Nina is focused on confronting the global challenge of resilience and maintaining the firm’s global leadership in sustainability.

In this role, Nina is specifically responsible for the strategic direction of the sustainability vision for Investa encompassing people, environment and financial objectives.

Nina has a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture, and a Masters Degree in Environmental Management at the University of New South Wales.
