This Thursday, Investa Office CEO Campbell Hanan, along with 40 Investa staff, will abseil down 33 floors at 1 Market Street, Sydney to raise funds for the Sir David Martin Foundation (SDMF).

Mr Hanan will be joined by Cameron Holt, CEO Investa Land and Peter Menegazzo, Group Executive and Fund Manager, Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF).

Mr Hanan said: “We’re very proud to partner with SDMF to support the great work they do at Triple Care Farm. While stepping off the edge of 1 Market Street and abseiling down 133 metres is certainly a challenge, I’m pleased we’ve had such great support from our staff, networks and industry to raise money for this very worthy cause.”

SDMF supports the work of Triple Care Farm, a successful rehabilitation program which helps young people afflicted by homelessness, abuse, substance addiction and mental health issues. In 2013, of the 48% who reported a history of recent homelessness on entry, 100% transitioned to stable accommodation after the program. Of the 96% who were unemployed on entry, over 73% moved into employment and training upon completion and of the 100% of youth suffering from substance dependency issues on arrival, over 77% met their substance use goals 6 months after completion.

Alex Green, CEO SDMF said: “While success rates at Triple Care Farm are high, it takes a significant investment to get each person through the three-month program - over $27,000 per person. We are therefore very pleased to have Investa support us in one of our major annual fund raising initiatives that contributes significant funding to the running of the farm.”

Investa teams raised almost $65,000 for SDMF, with the team led by Peter Menegazzo reaching top spot on the leader board, raising over $21,000.

Teams from BUILT, Stockland, Corrs Chambers Westgarth and UBS are also amongst the top fundraisers.
