Management Statement
Since 2003 Investa has published five annual sustainability reports and two concise reports.
This is our first interim report and its purpose is to act as a Results Update during our transition from 'financial year' to 'calendar year' reporting. Our next report will cover the 2008 calendar year.
General information presented in our previous reports (including the 2007 Sustainability Report) was current to 30 June, with environmental results closing 31 March to allow for the time needed to collate some data – particularly utilities on a three-month billing cycle. General information in future reports will be for the period up to and including 31 December, with environmental results data being for the reporting period of 1 October - 30 September. Environmental data presented in this interim report covers the reporting period 1 October 2006 – 30 September 2007.
Being an interim results update, this report focuses on the areas where the impacts of our activities are the most significant in environmental and social terms and over which we have the highest level of control. Our group approach remains consistent with that described on pages 3–5 of our 2007 Concise Sustainability Report and in the full version of the 2007 report which is available online.
