This results update is the first report to fully disclose our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse emissions and mains water usage profile.
To the best of our knowledge, all Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse emissions from operations within all businesses and facilities under the operational control of Investa have been reported in accordance with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 and its associated guidelines. 'Scopes' are defined under the international reporting framework of the World Resources Institute/World Business Council for Sustainable Development reported in The Greenhouse Gas Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. Scope 1 (direct) emissions include greenhouse gases emitted from sources within the boundary of a facility and as a result of that facility's activities. Scope 2 (indirect) emissions include greenhouse gases emitted from the generation of electricity and production of diesel used at our properties.
Our water reporting follows the principles set out in the guidelines adopted for emissions.
