J.E. Hoke Slaughter

Hoke Slaughter is a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley and Head of the Firm’s real estate investing business in Asia, part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM). Prior to moving to MSIM in 2008, Hoke was Chairman of the Firm’s real estate investment banking group globally and a Vice Chairman of the Firm’s Investment Banking Division.
Since joining Morgan Stanley in 1989, Hoke has worked on the full spectrum of real estate M&A and capital markets activity, including numerous transactions that were industry-defining. He has extensive experience in most major markets around the world and in both a principal and advisory capacity over the course of his career.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Hoke worked for Gerald D. Hines Interests from 1985-1988 and for Michael Graves, Architect from 1984-1985.
