Health & Safety

The Investa Safety, Health and Environment Management System (SHEMS) requires a Safety, Health and Environment report to be prepared by each operating business unit and submitted for review at each meeting of the Board’s Risk Management Committee.

Recent changes to Investa group structure, and in particular the formation of Land Developments and the separation from Clarendon, have presented the opportunity to thoroughly review all SH&E reporting and management practices and enhance them in a comprehensive and coordinated way. This will be a priority for focus for the entire business throughout 2009.

Despite these substantial changes, Investa retained its Five Star accreditation from the National Safety Council of Australia (NSCA) after the annual audit and was presented with the NSCA Member of the Year Award at the 2008 National Safety Council of Australia / Skilled Group – National Safety Awards of Excellence.
