What is a property trust?
A property trust is a vehicle for collective investment of large property assets. If you purchase a unit in a property trust you are purchasing a share of the ownership of these assets. The income derived from these assets is largely the rent collected from tenants occupying the properties. This is distributed to investors regularly (quarterly for IPG).
What is a stapled security?
A stapled security consists of a unit in a trust and a share in a company, which are stapled together and therefore cannot be traded separately. This structure binds the trust to the associated company. In the case of Investa, the Trust and the Company are together known as the Investa Property Group. The combination of the Trust and the Company enable the Group to derive a secure income stream from the property portfolio in addition to income from the corporate businesses.
What are the benefits of investing in an integrated property group such as Investa?

How do I invest / how do I buy units / how do I sell units?
IPG is listed on ASX. Therefore to purchase or sell units it is necessary to contact your broker. If you do not already have a broker you can call the ASX Broker Referral Service line on 1300 300 279 or go to their website: www.asx.com.au
How do I redeem my investment?
IPG is a listed vehicle therefore it is not possible to redeem your units. To dispose of your investment you need to sell them on ASX via your broker. If you do not already have a broker you can call the ASX Broker Referral Service line on 1300 300 279 or go to their website: www.asx.com.au
What is my investment worth?
The value of your investment in IPG can be determined by multiplying the number of units held by the current unit price. The number of units can be found on your latest distribution statement or CHESS statement. Unit price information is available at Unit Prices or www.asx.com.au
In what form are payments (distributions) from IPG made?
Unitholders can elect to:
- receive a cheque, or
- have their payment paid directly into their bank, building society or credit union.
What is the DRP?
The Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRP) allows unitholders to reinvest their quarterly distributions for additional units.

How do I change my address / bank details?
To do this, you need to send written authorisation to the Registry quoting your Securityholder Reference Number and signing your request. Unfortunately, it is not possible to do this over the internet as your signature is required, however, you can download the appropriate form by clicking here.

How can I give notification of my Tax File Number (TFN)?
Advice of TFNs can be made over the phone or in writing to the registry. You may choose not to provide your TFN, but if you do not provide your TFN your distribution may be taxed at the highest marginal rate. You can click here to download a notification form.
How can I choose to receive or no longer receive the full annual report / concise annual report and/or mid-year report?
This can be requested by writing to the Registry.
