We believe the best outcomes for us, our tenants and the environment are achieved through a cooperative approach. Investa has developed a number of innovative environmental initiatives to facilitate this which include:

  • Green Lease Guide

    Provides tenants with a useful framework to design an environmentally friendly and energy efficient tenancy.

    An energy saving initiative for tenants that helps make the transition to energy efficient offices as painless and cost-effective as possible.

  • Recycling

    A Commingle Recycling Program has been implemented in all of the buildings in our portfolio with a total of 61.6% of waste being diverted from landfill.

  • Water

    The installation of waterless urinals and other water efficiency measures across our portfolio has reduced our water usage by 37% since 2003/4.

Our weighted average National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) Energy rating has improved by 1.36 stars since 2003/04.

A defining feature of Investa’s sustainability platform is our willingness to set ambitious targets and hold ourselves accountable through public disclosure.

Energy and Greenhouse

  • Achieve a weighted average electricity use intensity of 100kWh/m2 by March 2010
  • Achieve a weighted average NABERS Energy rating of 4.5 stars by March 2010
  • Achieve a weighted average CO2 emission intensity of 120kg.CO2/m2 by March 2010

Water

  • Achieve a weighted average water use intensity of 725L/m2 by March 2010
  • Achieve a weighted average NABERS Water rating of 3.5 stars by March 2010

Waste

  • Commence detailed reporting of contractor Construction & Demolition stats and achieve >60% diversion across all projects by 31 March 2008
  • Divert 70% of Commercial & Industrial waste from landfill to recycling by 31 March 2008

Health and Safety

  • Maintain NSCA FiveStar rating

Productivity, Wellbeing and Amenity

  • Implement only Low VOC paints in all base building works by March 2008
